Are you a nurturing and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant, Individual Needs Assistant or Learning Support Assistant looking for a part-time supply role in Newhaven?
Sussex Teachers are recruiting an Individual Needs Assistant (INA) to support a Key Stage 1 child for a long-term supply role at a small, well-regarded primary school in East Sussex.
About the Role
You will work one-to-one with a child who has speech and language needs and benefits from additional support with structure, routines and positive relationships. Support will mainly take place in a dedicated space outside the classroom, close to the main class and teaching team. Using creative, play-based activities, you will help the child develop their communication skills, build confidence and engage with learning. The role requires someone patient and consistent who can build trust while maintaining a firm but fair approach.

Requirements
- Recent experience working with children in education, childcare, youth work or care settings
- Availability Monday to Friday, 8.30am–12.00pm
- Enthusiastic about learning through play
- Able to build a positive and trusting relationship with a child
