Sussex Teachers are working in partnership with a small primary school in Brighton to find a Teacher to cover floating PPA, 2 days a week, starting ASAP and paying up to £130 per day.
You will be joining a small, friendly and kind primary school that is situated in Whitehawk, Brighton. The school aspires to create lifelong, reflective learners, equipping children with knowledge, skills and understanding to help them make informed choices throughout their lives. The proportion of students at this school with SEND is well above the national average, the support network in the school reflects this, and it will allow you to make a difference in the education of the children you’re teaching.
This school has had several leadership and staffing changes in the last few years and they are making very successful changes to the school, this is a great opportunity to work with a school community that is striving for excellence. This is a Church of England School and they embody the message of ‘let your light shine’ in all that they do.
The school is very easily accessed by public transport, with a regular bus route from Brighton town centre.
You will provide PPA non-contact time to form/class teachers. This 13-hour-a-week, part-time position (Wednesday and Thursday) does not require the attendance of staff meetings or parents’ evenings and will include previously planned lessons for you to teach. This is a diverse and rewarding role, allowing you to teach pupils across a wide range of key stages, ages and abilities.
- Qualified Teacher status with completion of your induction year(s).
- Recent classroom teaching experience within KS1 and KS2.
