PE PPA Cover Teacher | Brighton & Hove | Tuesdays and Wednesdays | Spring Term 2027 | MPS
Sussex Teachers is recruiting a qualified Primary Teacher with a passion for PE to provide PPA cover at a primary school in Brighton & Hove. The role is two days a week, every Tuesday and Wednesday, starting on Tuesday 5 January 2027 and running to the end of the spring term (24 March 2027).
This is an ideal long-term part-time role for a teacher who enjoys teaching PE and wants regular, predictable days in one school.
The Role
- Teaching PE lessons across the school while class teachers take their PPA time
- Planning and delivering safe, active and inclusive PE sessions
- Managing behaviour positively in the hall and outdoors
- Following the school's safeguarding procedures and policies at all times
Contract Details
- Days: Tuesday and Wednesday
- Start date: Tuesday 5 January 2027
- End date: Wednesday 24 March 2027 (end of spring term)
- Pay: Main Pay Scale (MPS), depending on experience, paid per day worked
- Paid weekly via PAYE, with no umbrella companies and no hidden deductions
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching PE in a UK primary school
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- An enhanced DBS check on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
