Sussex Teachers are working in partnership with a small primary school in Brighton to find a KS2 Teacher for their Year 4 class. This is a full-time Maternity cover to begin in April and paid to scale up to £238 per day
You will be joining a small, friendly and kind primary school that is situated in Whitehawk, Brighton. The school aspires to create lifelong, reflective learners, equipping children with knowledge, skills and understanding to help them make informed choices throughout their lives. The proportion of students at this school with SEND is well above the national average, the support network in the school reflects this, and it will allow you to make a difference in the education of the children you’re teaching.
This school has had several leadership and staffing changes in the last few years and they are making very successful changes to the school, this is a great opportunity to work with a school community that is striving for excellence. This is a Church of England School and they embody the message of ‘let your light shine’ in all that they do.
The school is very easily accessed by public transport, with a regular bus route from Brighton town centre.
This is a maternity cover for the year 4 class to start after Easter and continue until at least the end of the academic year, maybe longer. As the Year 4 Class Teacher you will be responsible for the teaching, learning and assessment of a class of 31 pupils. The class has some children with challenging behaviour and EHCP’s, and will be supported by a TA and INA’s. You will be paid to scale.
