EFL Teacher Position at an International Summer School based near Hailsham, £150 per day
Sussex Teachers is collaborating with a leading international summer school located near Hailsham in East Sussex. We are actively seeking qualified EFL teachers for temporary positions lasting one month commencing 1st July. As an EFL teacher, you will work Monday to Friday, instructing students in Year 9-13 from diverse nationalities in English as a Foreign Language.
About Our Client: Our client, based at Bede’s Senior School near Hailsham, aims to provide “an amazing and unforgettable linguistic, social and cultural experience” to students. They offer a range of academic and holiday, residential summer schools across 7 sites in the South East of England in the months of July and August. The school is accredited by the British Council, is a member of Quality English and English UK as well as a named Centre of Excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct classroom-based lessons to enhance general language skills.
- Extend students’ vocabulary and understanding of grammar.
- Focus on accuracy in both spoken and written English.
- Teach up to eight students of varying nationalities, with classes grouped by ability levels.
- Collaborate with Academic Managers and fellow teaching team members to plan engaging lessons.
Qualifications:
- TEFL or PGCE: You must hold a TEFL qualification such as CELTA, Trinity College TESOL, DELTA, CELTYL or PGCE in English or MFL.
- University Degree: in any discipline
Experience:
- At least 1 year’s EFL teaching experience with Young Learners is essential.
- Residential Summer School and mixed nationality teaching experience is preferred. Native/near-native competence in English (both written and spoken).
Availability:
- Must be available for all dates throughout July.
