Early Years Teacher Job in Brighton – Full-Time EYFS Opportunity in a Large Primary School

Sussex Teachers is recruiting a Qualified Early Years Teacher (QTS) for a full-time EYFS teaching role in Brighton (BN1) within a large, well-established primary school. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with strong Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) experience to join a supportive Early Years team in a busy Brighton primary setting.

The school is looking for a teacher who understands the importance of the Reception year, can create a calm, engaging learning environment, and can help children build strong foundations in communication, personal development, literacy and numeracy.

The Role

• Full responsibility for an EYFS / Reception class
• Plan and deliver engaging Early Years learning experiences
• Support early phonics, communication, social and emotional development
• Use observation and assessment to track pupil progress
• Create a nurturing, organised and stimulating classroom
• Work closely with teaching assistants, parents and school leaders
• Support smooth transitions into Key Stage 1

Who We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• EYFS / Reception teaching experience
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
• Phonics knowledge preferred
• Warm, organised and reliable approach
• Strong classroom and behaviour management
• Based in or able to commute to Brighton
