A small school in the Tarner area of Brighton are looking to find a full-time, temporary Teaching Assistant (TA) to join their key stage 1 team immediately after the Easter holidays. This placement will continue for 6 weeks, starting from mid-April and running until the end of May. 

You will be joining a popular and oversubscribed school that benefits from a forward-thinking and supportive Senior Leadership Team. The school is situated in central Brighton with excellent public transport links, situated an 8-minute walk from Brighton train station or a 10-minute walk from Churchill Square bus stops.

Working with a friendly and experienced team you will work full-time (30 hours a week) supporting pupils both in and outside of the classroom. You will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and helping students learn effectively. This rewarding position will see you make a positive impact across your class, helping students with their social, emotional, and academic progress.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of inspiring and exciting lessons, promoting high expectations for achievement and behaviour.
  • Provide inclusive provision for all pupils, particularly for children with SEND/SEMH needs.

Requirements

  • Recent experience working with children, either within a classroom, nursery, medical or care home setting.
