Would you like a long-term class teaching job near Brighton for the summer term?

A supportive community school in Peacehaven, East Sussex are looking for a KS2 teacher to join their Year 3 team on a long-term teaching contract for the summer term. Joining the school immediately after the Easter Holidays you will be paid be paid between £153.84 - £211.96 per day, according to your pay scale and previous experience.

Teaching enthusiastic and engaged learners aged 7 - 8 (Year 3), through the summer term you will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with your class and have a real impact on their learning. You will receive a warm welcome from a professional, highly skilled staff team who will provide a tailored induction programme to settle you into their community.

Senior leaders will provide you with support to improve your subject and pedagogical knowledge, enhancing and improving your teaching skills through coaching and CPD training. In addition to in-school support, the school is also part of a thriving partnership with local schools, giving you the opportunity to network with other local teachers and leaders and engage in collaborative workshops and training sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside an experienced parallel class teacher, with the opportunity to plan and deliver lessons from exciting and engaging curriculum.
  • You will assess and celebrate the progress and achievements of your pupils, providing feedback to children and their families.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher status (please note that a requirement of this role is that you have completed your ECT Induction years).
  • Recent classroom teaching experience, ideally within key stage 2.
